What is an architectural design assistant?

Architectural Design Assistants are professionals who support architects and design teams with drafting, research, and various administrative tasks throughout the design and construction process. Their work ensures that architectural projects run smoothly by handling essential tasks that allow architects to focus on design and client interactions.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an architectural design assistant?

To thrive as an Architectural Design Assistant, you need a solid grasp of architectural principles, drafting, and design supported by a relevant degree or coursework. Proficiency in industry-standard software like AutoCAD, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite is typically required, and familiarity with building codes is a plus.
