This role offers the opportunity to work on large-scale, mixed-use commercial projects across the West Coast and Hawaii, while mentoring younger staff and contributing to firm-wide design excellence.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong design sensibilities, deep technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and clients through all phases of a project.

You Have:

  • Accredited 5- or 6-year professional degree in Architecture.

  • 10+ years of experience on large-scale, multi-disciplined projects.

  • Proficiency in Revit; familiarity with 3D Studio Max, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Newforma preferred.

  • Highly developed aesthetic sense in materials, color, form, texture, proportion, and composition.

  • Strong working knowledge of zoning ordinances, codes, and regulatory approval processes.

  • A professional reputation for fair and consistent business dealings.

You Will:

  • Organize and lead the daily work efforts of project teams while serving as the primary client and consultant contact.

  • Contribute to and enforce the project design philosophy while ensuring design, technical, and business objectives align.

  • Establish detailed work plans and monitor project milestones.

  • Supervise, mentor, and direct junior staff in the preparation of drawings, studies, and models.

  • Apply thorough knowledge of building systems, construction methods, structural systems, and MEPFP integration.

  • Ensure compliance with zoning, building codes, and regulatory requirements; coordinate with officials as needed.

  • Participate in strategic discussions with senior leadership regarding firm performance, client satisfaction, and profitability.

  • Research and promote innovative systems and design applications.

  • Maintain a positive team environment, fostering professionalism and collaboration across all project phases.

Why Join Us?

  • Opportunity to work on high-profile commercial and mixed-use projects in San Francisco, Hawaii, and across the West Coast.

  • Above-market salary + total compensation package.

  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits.

  • PTO, paid holidays, and professional development support.

  • Mentorship and career growth opportunities in a collaborative studio setting.

  • Work with a firm that values design excellence, innovation, and staff development.
