Project Architect /Manager(5-10 years)

Höweler + Yoon is a Boston-based architectural design firm of 20+ employees committed to transformational impact in the built environment and design excellence across multiple scales. Founded and led by Partners Eric Höweler and J. Meejin Yoon, the studio has built a reputation for work that is research-driven, socially engaged, and formally innovative. We are looking for a talented, motivated, and responsible Project Architect(s) with 5-10 years of experience for our office in Boston, MA.

Qualifications
  • Professional degree and 5-10 years of qualified experience
  • Experience in managing and coordinating small- to large-scale building projects
  • Ability to prepare and develop drawing sets at all phases
  • Excellent design and graphic skills, with the ability to participate in the conceptualization and design of complex projects from pre-design through construction documents phases
  • Advanced digital modeling and BIM skills
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to manage schedules, workplans and deadlines, and ability to be flexible
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and management skills with clients, consultants, H+Y leadership, and the design team
  • Proficiency with Revit, Rhino, Adobe Suite and AutoCAD preferred
  • Strong work ethics, being proactive, and self-motivation is essential
Responsibilities
  • Prepare conceptual design sketches, develop project narrative, and prepare materials for presentation
  • Meet functional, spatial & aesthetic needs of clients concerning construction procedures, code, material requirements
  • Lead project documentation of all phases
  • Prepare project timeline and manage schedule, staffing, and the consultant teams
  • Organize and lead meetings and coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors and vendors
