Job description

Kinetic Design + Development is looking for a Project Architect to join the Krew.

If you’re an architect who thrives in both the creative and technical sides of the process, this role is for you.

As a Project Architect at Kinetic, you’ll bring design concepts to life—balancing innovation, functionality, and feasibility. You’ll collaborate with our team to develop detailed drawings, renderings, and construction documentation that move projects from idea to reality. This role is perfect for a licensed architect ready to deepen their technical expertise, refine design skills, and contribute meaningfully to a firm that puts people first.

Who You Are

You’re a motivated, detail-oriented designer who blends creativity with technical precision. You thrive on collaboration, enjoy mentoring emerging talent, and take pride in delivering high-quality work. You’re adaptable, confident, and eager to keep learning as technology and design evolve. You communicate clearly, manage your time effectively, and maintain a professional yet approachable presence with both clients and teammates.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead portions of design development and construction documentation for small to medium projects
  • Develop drawings, models, sections, and details in Revit and AutoCAD that accurately communicate design intent
  • Participate in design charettes and create exhibits, studies, and client presentations
  • Conduct field measurements and site visits to understand existing conditions and project context
  • Research code and technical requirements to ensure compliance and feasibility
  • Coordinate with engineers, consultants, and other disciplines for cohesive project integration
  • Select materials and finishes aligned with project goals and sustainability practices
  • Review and implement redlines with precision and ownership
  • Mentor and support production staff as needed

Tools You’ll Use

Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Lumion, Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop), and rendering software

What You’ll Bring

  • Degree from a NAAB-accredited architecture program
  • Active architectural license
  • 3–5 years of professional experience in architectural design and production
  • Strong design and detailing skills, with an understanding of materials, codes, and construction methods
  • Proven ability to produce full drawing sets for small to medium projects
  • Experience with prototypical project specs, ComChecks, and custom detailing
  • A creative mindset and an eye for both aesthetics and practicality
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • A collaborative, professional, and growth-oriented attitude
