Job description

Pinballz Arcade is a 13,000 square foot family entertainment destination. We are looking for people who will support our commitment to providing an excellent customer experience and share our passion for all things FUN! While prior knowledge of pinball machines and video/arcade games is a plus, a desire to learn is even better. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fun and fast-paced environment that will present unique challenges as well as the rewards that come with them.
Job Description
We are seeking cooks with cash handling/customer service experience to join our team. All Pinballz Arcade team members are cross-trained and will have the opportunity to utilize both culinary skill and excellent customer service skills as cashiers. Please note: previous professional cooking experience (fast food/restaurant/food truck) is a must. We provide training for other aspects of the job requirements. We are hiring for both part time and full time cooks.
We need you to be energetic and flexible with your schedule. Our current facility is a stationary food truck that serves as our kitchen. We typically only have one cook working at a time. Our fare of food includes arcade staples such as hamburgers, fries, pizza, and similar fast food items. Experience with fryers, pizza ovens, and grills are preferred. Our cooks also work as cashiers and customer service representatives during down time from cooking in the kitchen. No prior knowledge of arcade games is needed. You will need to provide solid references when applying.
Requirements and Skills:
* 1-3 years restaurant experience with an established knowledge in restaurant operations and cooking ability, as well as cash handling experience with POS registers and customer service.
* The willingness and ability to manage a busy work calendar. There will be late nights and weekends involved.
* The ability to multi-task and stay organized in a busy environment.
* Honesty, integrity, flexibility and a professional demeanor.
* An outgoing personality who knows when to be candid but is always professional. This position requires interfacing with the public on a daily basis.
* The ability and desire to learn and grow with the position and the company.
* A passion for food and everything related to it.
*Valid drivers license and transportation is required.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Daily preparation, execution and service of all food.
* Daily preparation and break down of mobile kitchen including all waste management.
* Ensure fast, accurate service, and positive guest relations, always aiming for 100% customer satisfaction.
* Maintain positive relations with all purveyors -- follow proper ordering and receiving procedures for ingredients and supplies.
* Organize and clean walk-ins, reach-ins, and dry storage areas. Responsible for maintaining cleanliness of entire truck and commissary kitchen.
* Receive and inspect all deliveries for quality and quantity. Maintain inventory.
* Keep the cashier area clean and well organized, maintaining supplies, notifying manager when supplies are low.
* Process financial transactions for all products that are served with honesty and accuracy, according to Pinballz standards.
* Polite and prompt interaction with guests and vendors: greeting, receiving orders, processing sales and financial transactions, and managing guest issues.
* Maintain quality and presentation of product.
* Adhere to workplace safety standards and food safety procedures at all times.
* Assist with pick up of product and supplies.
* Create an amazing guest experience while adding to the positive culture of the mobile restaurant.
