PER DIEM 7 DAYS PER WEEK & HIRING BONUS AVAILABLE
** ISA BOARD CERTIFIED MASTER ARBORIST CERTIFICATION REQUIRED **
OMS Field Services is looking for Master Arborists to work in our clients Vegetation Management program. This position will be responsible for managing and maintaining trees and other vegetation in a safe, healthy, and aesthetically pleasing manner in accordance with client policy and compliance. Master Arborists will work closely with client and diagnosing and treating tree diseases, pests and provide advice on tree care and management. Business conduct must occur in accordance with OMS policies and procedures and be aligned with the goals of OMS and our client.
Essential Functions:
  • Conducting individual tree evaluations and tree risk assessments.
  • Evaluating project data, development site plans, and other project-related technical reports.
  • Collecting field data utilizing field computers, tablets, and global positioning system (GPS) units.
  • Processing and analyzing field-collected data.
  • Analyzing data and conducting project-related research.
  • Preparing arborist reports and other technical reports related to tree and urban forest management.
  • Developing written tree management recommendations.
  • Presenting findings to decision-making bodies, project teams, and industry groups.
  • Preparing proposals, project scopes, and budgets.
  • Working collaboratively with project planners, engineers, biologists, GIS staff, and other resource specialists.
  • Other duties as assigned by OMS or the client.

Qualifications:
  • Certification as an International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certified Master Arborist with Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ) required.
  • Bachelor's degree in forestry, natural resources, environmental science, or other related field is desired but not mandatory.
  • Required to maintain a Class C driver's license, including participating in Employer Pull Notice Program (EPN), with DMV.
  • Must have clean driving record.
  • A proven track record of business development success.
  • Additional desired qualifications include excellent writing skills, project management and client, development experience, and experience with GIS, GPS, plant/tree identification, and arboricultural and vegetation management practices.
  • Conduct a background check, clear drug screening, and physical exam.
  • Approval by Client Representative.

Working Conditions:
Environmental Factors: Indoor and outdoor conditions; exposure to heat, cold, potentially hazardous chemicals, toxic materials; work on/walk on slippery or uneven and potentially mountainous terrain. Noise level is usually moderate. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee must occasionally lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 25 pounds.
