We're looking for a 3D Rendering Engineer to join our Augmented Reality team in Specs!
What you'll do:
  • Implement the engine and rendering features used across Lenses, Games, Spectacles.
  • Collaborate with rendering and core engineers to incorporate new algorithms into the Lens engine
  • Work on the 3D engine and advanced algorithms utilizing the cutting edge capabilities of modern mobile GPUs
  • Research advanced rendering effects to adopt for mobile GPUs and perform as efficiently as possible
  • Work on optimization of rendering algorithms for wearable AR devices to achieve best performance leveraging your deep knowledge of rendering techniques, GPU hardware and profilers.
  • Make an impact on the future of AR rendering technology - the sky's the limit

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong 3D math and trigonometry skills
  • Strong computer science fundamentals and C++ coding skills
  • Proven knowledge of software and hardware rendering pipeline (Mobile, Console or PC)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with high attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently

Minimum Qualifications:
  • BS in a technical field such as computer science or equivalent years of experience
  • 2+ years of post-Bachelor's software development experience; or Master's degree in a technical field + 1+ year of post-grad software development experience; or PhD in a relevant technical field
  • Industry C++ development experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with OpenGL, Metal, Vulkan, or DirectX APIs
  • Experience with GLSL, MSL, HLSL, Compute shaders
  • Experience in optimization for mobile/console GPUs
  • Experience in creating rendering engines
  • Experience in creating unique/custom graphics algorithms and techniques
  • Experience with PBR
  • Personal 3D rendering related projects

Compensation
In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position.These pay zones may be modified in the future.
Zone A (CA, WA, NYC):
The base salary range for this position is $157,000-$235,000 annually.
Zone B:
The base salary range for this position is $149,000-$223,000 annually.
Zone C:
The base salary range for this position is $133,000-$200,000 annually.
This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
