Job Description:

TheSupervisor,PatientARwillbe responsible forsupervising the daily operations of thePatient AR team.This rolefunctions asa leader and subject matter expert related to Patient AR.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day to day responsibilities of the Patient AR staff.

  • Ensure the team iswell versed in customer service.

  • Ensures patient accounts are billed accurately,timelyand in a compliant manner.

  • Review and approve collection adjustments (write-offs, collection agency referral, probate, etc.) within designated range.

  • Maintain patientbad debtat target levels.

  • Responsible for managing andmaintainingPatient A/R days in compliance with established benchmarks.

  • Perform monthly staff account audits todetermineaccuracy and error ratings.

  • Work withmanufacturerand Foundation/Patient Assistance representatives to streamline processes and ensure policy and procedures are followed.

  • Develop, review and update benchmarks for staff andmonitorstaff levels asappropriate tomeet benchmarks.

  • Manage employee relations issues appropriately as needed andparticipatein disciplinary decisions and counselingprocess.

  • Work closely with members ofmanagementteam to collaborateregardingshared issues.

  • Associates degree or equivalent experiencerequired.

  • 1+ years of experience inacommunity oncology settingpreferred.

  • 3+ years of RCM healthcare experiencerequiredincluding authorizations.

  • 2+ years ofsupervisorexperiencepreferred.
