Job description

About the Role:
As a CBRE AP/AR Accounting Sr. Associate, you will be responsible for preparing financial data in the areas of Accounts Payable and Receivable.
This job is part of the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable function. They are responsible for reviewing and paying invoices and cash management activities such as reconciliation and bank account reviews.
What You'll Do:
• Prepare and maintain complex journal entries, ledgers, and other financial records. Manage month-end reporting for Accounts Payable and Receivable.
• Verify credit lines, vendor relations, and processing of payments.
• Reconcile records with internal employees, management, external vendors, and customers.
• Review and confirm internal consistency, completeness, and accuracy of account documents.
• Escalate unresolved vendor, invoice, and reporting issues to accountants and supervisor.
• Work with staff and management to ensure appropriate expenditure of corporate funds. This includes maximizing vendor discounts and bidding opportunities.
• Verify and posts details of business transactions. Compile data and prepare various reports.
• Assist with ad hoc accounting projects including preparation of annual regulatory reporting.
• Provide informal training and coaching to coworkers.
• Resolve complex problems and identify appropriate approaches to existing solutions to accomplish team objectives.
• May establish new techniques to ensure the team is able to meet its objectives.
• Has a direct impact on the team objectives as well as the objectives of related teams.
• Ensure personal and team outcomes have a positive impact on customer objectives.
• Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Guide team through the application of basic knowledge of practices and procedures. Work to build consensus.
What You'll Need:
• High School Diploma or GED with 5+ years of job-related experience.
• Prior shift leader or supervisory experience preferred.
• In-depth understanding of a range of processes, procedures, systems, and concepts within own job function and basic knowledge of related job functions required.
• Requires the ability to explain complex concepts or sensitive information.
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Excellent organizational skills with a master-level inquisitive mindset.
• Exceptional math skills. Ability to calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial related calculations.
