Job description

The Ridge is looking for a highly motivated and energetic professional to join our group fitness team
Our mission: "To recognize the unique desires of individuals and help them lead better lives."
PURPOSE:
  • To provide a safe and inclusive community fitness class, designed for all ages, demographics, and experience levels
  • To assist participants with their fitness goals in a group fitness format
  • To assist Ridge Athletic Clubs in maintaining a clean and welcoming facility

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Certification:
  • CPR/AED certification or higher within the first 90 days of employment
  • Certification as a group exercise instructor from a Nationally-recognized program
  • Specialty certification in Barre or Pilates

Skills/Knowledge
• Be familiar with the most current and up-to-date techniques for health and safety
• Showcase the ability to teach to all levels of experience and provide modifications and options for varying skill levels, ages, and demographics
• Be motivational, encouraging, dynamic and engaging
• Possess great customer service and strong communication skills
• Enforce Ridge guidelines
Physical Requirements
• Demonstrate proper technique
• The ability to perform the following movements with ease: bending, twisting, pulling, reaching, and stretching
• The ability to perform the movements specifically required for your format
Availability:
• Mornings/afternoons
• Some weekend availability required
Working Conditions:
  • The working conditions will be those of an athletic facility and pool in a sometimes fast paced environment, At times there may be high levels of noise. Will be required to move about the pool and club.
