Chem-Aqua Receiving Clerk
Mission: To provide quality, reliable, cost effective, pretreatment and chemical feed systems, which require a minimum of installation time and mechanical/electrical expertise of our sales force and customers. The primary goal of the Receiving Clerk is to ensure shipments are received and thoroughly checked for quality and timeliness.
Purpose of the Job: Responsible for receiving shipments, and packaging
Level of Authority: Performs work under direct supervision of the Inventory Supervisor. Latitude is given for independent action and decisions. Error in judgment could have significant impact on customer relations.
Work Environment: Work is to be performed in a manufacturing environment. Work will be performed in varying climate conditions ranging from (50 degrees Fahrenheit to 100 degrees Fahrenheit), and with usual hazards associated with manufacturing environments.
Work Hours: Normal weekday office hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. Due to the nature of our business, night, weekend, and holiday hours may be required to meet our sales force and customer needs. Overtime pay or compensatory time off will be offered when these job requirements occur.
Travel: Day and/or overnight travel are not required.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Receive items into Oracle by matching quantities on packing slip with purchase orders
  • Generate serially controlled labels, and apply to inbound stock
  • Move received items into inventory locations
  • Backup shipping duties
  • Evaluate inventory space and make adjustments when necessary
  • Check shipments for damage before signing shippers receiving documents

Qualifications & Capabilities:
SKILLS
  • Knowledge of Oracle a plus
  • Previous Receiving Clerk experience a plus
  • Must have a GED or High School Diploma
  • Proficient use of computer software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook (email),

PHYSICAL
  • Must have physical strength and ability to lift up to 50 pounds and carry such weight for 50 feet
  • Must have good visual ability for close-up observations
  • Must have good depth perception and ability to distinguish different colors
  • Must have hearing sufficient to hear verbal and audible signals at a moderate distance
  • Must be conditioned to sustain work in up to 100 degree Fahrenheit in a manufacturing environment

OTHER
  • Must have a valid Georgia state issued driver's license
  • Must have reading ability sufficient to read and comprehend orders and bills of laden
  • Must have writing ability sufficient to write correspondence
  • Must have good communication skills to work cooperatively with customers, sales force, and other company employees
