Job description

YOUR ROLE

The Engineer will serve as the primary technical liaison between our company and the OEM customer. This role ensures seamless integration, validation, and support of EV charging products (portable cordsets) at the customer site, driving customer success through proactive engineering support and issue resolution.

In your daily job you will:

  • Act as the on-site technical representative for EV charging products at the OEM facility.
  • Provide hands-on support for
  • product integration, validation, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with OEM engineering teams to resolve technical issues promptly.
  • Support launch activities, including pre-production builds and validation testing.
  • Monitor and report product performance, quality concerns, and field issues.
  • Coordinate with internal engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to drive corrective actions.
  • Assist in root cause analysis and implement solutions for customer-reported issues.
  • Provide technical training and documentation to OEM teams as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with OEM specifications, standards, and program timelines.
  • Represent the company in daily/weekly customer meetings and program reviews.

YOUR BACKGROUND

Key skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in automotive engineering, preferably in EV charging or electrical systems.
  • Strong understanding of EVSE (Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment) and related standards.
  • Hands-on experience with diagnostics, validation, and troubleshooting of electrical components.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for direct customer interaction.
  • Ability to work independently on-site and manage multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with OEM program development processes and APQP is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel
