Sr Supplier Quality
About the Team:
The Supplier Quality Lead drives supplier quality, incoming inspection, and quality launch initiatives to ensure products meet internal, customer, and global quality standards. This role leads process control, APQP, problem solving, and supplier-related activities for transmission programs while supporting continuous improvement and operational excellence.
What you can look forward to as Supplier Quality Supervisor:
  • Uphold company principles, quality standards, and corporate objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with automotive and customer quality requirements.
  • Monitor manufacturing processes to verify capability and product conformity.
  • Maintain quality documentation, procedures, risk analyses, and lessons learned.
  • Interpret technical drawings, measurement tools, and GD&T requirements.
  • Lead APQP and PPAP activities with suppliers against ZF, AIAG, VDA, and IATF standards.
  • Guide the team in PFMEA, control plans, MSA, SPC, and other core quality tools.
  • Lead complaint resolution, 8D problem solving, and supplier audit activities.

Your profile Supplier Quality Supervisor:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • 8-10+ years of progressive experience in a manufacturing or technical environment, including 4+ years in a quality-focused role.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including directing teams and managing work in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
  • Proven ability to lead supplier quality initiatives using APQP, PPAP, IATF, AIAG, VDA, and related quality standards.
  • Advanced problem-solving credentials or experience, such as Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt, Shainin, or equivalent methodologies preferred
  • Strong expertise in 8D problem solving, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Working knowledge of PFMEA, control plans, SPC, GR&R, MSA, and other core quality tools.
  • Advanced understanding of transmission or powertrain technology and supplier quality expectations.
  • Ability to speak German or Spanish is strongly preferred.
