An APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) Engineer is responsible for managing and overseeing the quality planning process in product development and manufacturing. As an APQP Engineer, your daily responsibilities often include leading cross-functional teams to develop and update quality plans, facilitating FMEA and control plan reviews, and coordinating activities related to the launch of new products or processes. You’ll collect and analyze quality data, work closely with suppliers and internal teams to address nonconformities, and drive corrective actions. In addition, you’ll prepare documentation required for Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) submissions and support continuous improvement initiatives. This role is highly collaborative and requires balancing project timelines, customer expectations, and internal quality standards.
