To thrive in an apprenticeship, you need a basic educational background (often a high school diploma or equivalent), a willingness to learn, and foundational knowledge relevant to the trade or industry. Familiarity with industry-specific tools, safety protocols, and, in some cases, certifications like OSHA or trade-specific licenses are valuable. Apprentices often encounter challenges such as balancing on-the-job learning with classroom instruction, adapting to a professional work environment, and managing time effectively.
