Job description

We are currently seeking an experienced, reliable, and highly-skilled Service and/or Construction Apprentice Electrician to join our growing team of trade professionals. In this role, you will demonstrate your expert knowledge of electrical systems and your outstanding problem solving skills as you train with a licensed Journeyman Electrician to perform all necessary installations, maintenance, and repairs. To succeed in this position, you will be reliable, hardworking, and a team player with a desire to continually learn and improve your skillset.


Apprentice Electrician Duties and Responsibilities

  • Arrive at service calls on time
  • Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner
  • Conduct all work to the very best of your ability, as if it were your own home/business
  • Perform routine maintenance on various systems as requested
  • Follow specifications on blueprints/diagrams/technical drawings for installations
  • Conduct all repairs and installations according to code
  • Utilize all safety equipment and follow all safety regulations and guidelines
  • Maintain a neat and organized work environment
  • Maintain a stock of common materials in your service vehicle
  • See that all tools and equipment are functioning properly at the beginning of shift
  • Confirm customer is satisfied before departing each service call
  • Report any issues to management


Apprentice Electrician Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be state licensed apprentice electrician
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
  • Solid working knowledge of commercial and residential electrical systems
  • Minimum 1 years’ experience as an apprentice electrician
  • Extensive experience in both commercial and residential work is a plus
  • Able to read blueprints, technical drawings, and diagrams and follow specifications is a plus
  • Able to work independently
  • Take great pride in your work
  • Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude
  • Good customer service skills
  • Good communication skills, able to keep accurate records
