Job description

Voyago is hiring 310T/S Automotive Apprentice Mechanic (1st- 4th year) for our Kitchener Garage.

Your Role

Reporting directly to the Fleet Manager,

  • You are responsible for evaluating and ensuring vehicle safety through preventative maintenance as required and all in compliance with all Ministry of Transportation (MTO) and Voyago's guidelines.
  • You will utilize parts from inventory or order parts necessary through the Fleet Management software to make repairs.
  • You will complete repairs in a timely manner.
  • You will be servicing vehicles in accordance with corporate policies and procedures.
  • You will keep work environment clean and tidy.
  • You will complete required reports as directed (i.e. sign-off on driver-initiated repair logs and log books, and PM service logs by division).

Scheduled Shift: Monday to Friday (7:00AM - 4:30PM)

Hourly rate: $25.20/hr to $36.90/hr

Requirements

Your Profile

  • You are registered with the STO as 310T/S Automotive Apprentice Mechanic - must be in 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th year.
  • You have ODP certification with A/C experience.
  • You have experience and working knowledge of light duty diesel repair, as well as gasoline.
  • You have Superior written and verbal communication skills and sound organizational competencies.
  • You demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and team-building skills.
  • You have excellent proven customer service experience.
  • You have a valid G class driving license.
  • You are a safe driver with a clean driving record
  • You can obtain a clean criminal record search and/or vulnerable sector screening
