Facebook Instagram LinkedIn Responsibilities Position Summary: Advanced-level apprentice responsible for performing complex electrical tasks under minimal supervision while preparing for Journeyman certification. This role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to work independently on installations, troubleshooting, and mentoring junior apprentices. Experience for this role will include 4+ years experience in the electrical field. Apprentice will be required to maintain apprenticeship license as well as perform any and all additional continuing education required. Responsibilities:
  • Depending on Apprentice level primary duties may include and are not limited to:
  • Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, one-lines, and construction drawings including, but not limited to, Isometric drawings and P&ID's under the supervision of a journeyman electrician.
  • Cut, thread, and bend electrical conduit.
  • Connect power cable to equipment using hand tools under the supervision of a journeyman electrician.
  • Connects wiring to lighting fixtures, electrical devices, and power equipment using hand tools under the supervison of a journeyman electrician.
  • Performs assigned plant housekeeping duties to comply with company procedures and requirements.
  • Keeps and maintains job records as required by facility supervision and procedures.
  • All other duties and assignments as assigned
Qualifications Qualifications
  • Demonstrate ability to interpret and follow written and verbal instructions. Responsible for the health and safety of others. Practices good safety habits.
  • Willing and able to work in an environment where temperatures may reach from 0 to 140 degrees, both indoors and outdoors in the sun.
  • Able to work in an environment in which vibrations and noise are moderate to severe and noise level may require the wearing on hearing protection devices
  • Perform a variety of duties which may often change.
  • Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy.
  • Repeat tasks of short duration according to a sect procedure.
  • Knowledge of trade tools, equipment, materials, methods, and techniques.
  • On-the-job training required. May require driver's license.
  • Minimum OSHA 10 required.
  • Must be able to stand, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, crawl, walk, and work at heights for extended periods of time.
  • Use arms and hands to reach for, handle, and manipulate objects.
  • Lift and carry materials, sometimes weighing 50 to 100 pounds.
  • Climb up and down ladders, scaffolds, and other objects while carrying tools and equipment.
  • Must always wear protective or safety equipment, i.e., safety boots/shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and hard hats and follow safety guidelines.
