JS Russell Electric is a family-owned electrical contractor serving Omaha, Nebraska, and nearby communities. We specialize in residential and commercial service work, helping customers with repairs, upgrades, lighting, EV chargers, generators, and more. As our company continues to grow, we are looking for motivated apprentices who want to build a long-term future with us.


We are hiring a 3rd or 4th year Apprentice Electrician who is ready to continue developing their skills in a service-based environment. This position is a great fit for someone who is coachable, dependable, and eager to learn from experienced electricians. You will assist with a variety of residential and commercial service jobs while gaining valuable hands-on experience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with residential and commercial electrical service work
  • Help troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical systems
  • Support Journeyman Electricians on service calls and projects
  • Assist with outlets, lighting, ceiling fans, panel upgrades, EV chargers, generators, and related work
  • Communicate professionally with customers and team members
  • Maintain clean and safe job sites
  • Use company software for job notes and documentation as needed
  • Continue learning and developing toward full licensure

Qualifications

  • 3rd or 4th year apprentice preferred
  • Minimum 3-4 years of apprentice electrical experience
  • Active apprentice electrician registration/license required
  • Enrollment in electrical school is a plus
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening upon a conditional job offer
  • Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
