Weโ€™re looking for a skilled Residential Wireman Electrician who thrives in detailed, custom environments and is committed to producing clean, codeโ€‘compliant, highโ€‘quality work.

Position Summary

As a Residential Wireman Electrician, you will perform electrical installations, service, and troubleshooting on custom residential job sites. This role is handsโ€‘on and detailโ€‘oriented, requiring strong technical ability, familiarity with custom home standards, and the ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision. Youโ€™ll collaborate closely with project managers, builders, designers, and homeowners to ensure every project meets Powered Solutionsโ€™ quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, wire, and terminate electrical systems in custom residential homes
  • Roughโ€‘in, trimโ€‘out, and final installation of lighting, receptacles, panels, and specialty devices
  • Read and interpret blueprints, oneโ€‘line diagrams, and designer lighting plans
  • Install and troubleshoot smartโ€‘home components, lowโ€‘voltage systems, and specialty fixtures (training provided if needed)
  • Ensure all work meets NEC requirements and local code standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, builders, and homeowners
  • Document materials used, work performed, and any field changes
  • Identify issues proactively and provide solutions to keep projects on schedule
  • Support apprentices as needed by demonstrating proper techniques and safe work practices

Qualifications

  • Valid Texas Apprentice license with a minimum of two years of experience or a valid Texas Wireman's license or better.
  • 2+ years of experience in residential electrical work (custom home experience preferred)
  • Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
  • Ability to work independently and deliver highโ€‘quality craftsmanship
  • Experience with custom lighting, specialty fixtures, or smartโ€‘home systems is a plus
  • Valid driverโ€™s license with a clean driving record
  • Strong communication and problemโ€‘solving skills
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in attics, crawl spaces, and active construction environments
