IT8 Engineering is seekingOperations Project Managers to support automotive installation and field-operations projects across multiple U.S. sites. This role focuses on people, planning, logistics, coordination, timelines, suppliers, and execution within automotive and industrial environments.


IIT8 USA Corporation, based in Austin, Texas, is part of MiddleGround Capital, a private equity firm headquartered in Lexington, Kentucky. Founded in 2004, IT8 began as a mechanical design and engineering office. Today, we deliver Body-in-White, warehouse automation, and industrial automation services across Europe, India, Mexico, Germany, and the United States.


Job Title: Project Manager, Senior and Junior levels available.

Location: Our projects are currently expected to take place in Texas, South Carolina, Nevada, Arizona, Illinois and other states.


General Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead project schedules, timelines, and deliverables for automotive and industrial installation projects.
  • Coordinate daily activities with field teams, supervisors, suppliers, and logistics partners.
  • Track manpower, materials, and progress to ensure on-time execution in automotive plant environments.
  • Support site readiness, tooling needs, and resource allocation for project teams.
  • Manage vendor and subcontractor expectations, schedules, and follow-up actions.
  • Monitor risks or delays and communicate solutions to clients and internal leadership.
  • Maintain project documentation, status reports, customer updates, and action logs.
  • Track project-related costs, hours, travel, and general budget alignment.
  • Coordinate travel, onboarding, scheduling, and site access needs for project personnel.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on assigned projects.
  • Ensure safety and quality guidelines are followed across all job sites.
  • Facilitate cross-team communication to keep workflows aligned and ensure smooth execution.


Note:This role does not involve IT, software development, Agile/Scrum, or technical engineering design.


Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working inside automotive OEM or Tier supplier environments strongly preferred.
  • Experience coordinating installation teams, materials, suppliers, or field logistics in high-paced environments.
  • Strong communication skills for client-facing and internal coordination.
  • Strong organization, planning, and follow-through with the ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Ability to track budgets, project hours, manpower, and general cost controls.
  • Familiarity with SAP, MS Office, and general project-tracking tools.
  • Ability to adapt quickly, solve problems, and maintain professionalism in dynamic automotive projects.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, not required.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. (TN-Visa friendly).
