To thrive as an Apprentice Tree Pruning, you need a basic understanding of tree biology, safe use of hand and power tools, and a willingness to learn on the job, often supported by a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with safety harnesses, chainsaws, pole pruners, and potentially basic first aid or arborist certification is important. Strong attention to detail, physical stamina, and effective teamwork are essential soft skills for success in this role.
