Job description

Agronomy Apprentice Position - $1500 Sign-on BONUS!

Job Type: Full-Time - Hourly - Livermore, IA

Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:30pm *Extended hours including weekends during peak season

Salary Range: $45K - $48K

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for learning Gold-Eagle Agronomy products, services, and inventory management
  • Assist in equipment maintenance and service records
  • Calibrate machines to a field ready status before each season
  • Professional quality of work in and out of the field
  • Maintain and grow local business with dignity, honesty, and class
  • Attend Mandatory Gold-Eagle Agronomy meetings throughout the year
  • Have a desire to learn the trade
  • Learn crop production systems; crop scouting and staging, herbicides, seed placement and recommendations and beyond.
  • Fertilizer/soil sampling with recommendations based on analysis and yield goals
  • Ability to blend fertilizer and follow label when blending crop protection products
  • Ability to read maps, follow directions, operate equipment with computer assisted operations
  • Good communication skills/verbal/written
  • Very high level of motivation and organizational skills
  • Work well with others so they can take instructions from the agronomy sales team, effective listening is critical

Training/Experience:

  • Agricultural background
  • Previous Experience not required
  • Product Training and Field Days
  • Career Advancement and all other trainings suggested by senior staff
  • Custom Applicator's License/CDL - recommended but not required, we will train

Physical Requirements:

  • Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record
