Job description

IntroductionIntek Plastics specializes in designing, manufacturing, assembling, and delivering a wide variety of customized plastic extrusions in the Fenestration, Hydroponic, Lighting, Refrigeration, and Power Management Industries.

OverviewParticipant will be enrolled in a one-year Machine/Tool Processes program through Dunwoody College, with tuition fully sponsored by the company. 

Responsibilities

  • While actively completing coursework, apprentices will work on 1st shift to support job shadowing and mentorship alongside experienced toolmakers, building foundational skills in a hands-on environment.
  • Following successful completion of the schooling program, apprentices will transition into an off-shift Toolmaker role, where they will apply their training more independently and support ongoing toolroom operations.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma and able to take classes and work towards an AAS degree in Tool & Die.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Good organizational and basic math skills.
  • Reliable, regular attendance and a strong safety mindset.
