Apprentice technicians work in a variety of industries, but the most common is the automotive industry. In this position, you are a part of a training program to become an entry-level automotive technician who operates shop equipment, makes mechanical repairs, and complies with local, state, and federal policies. Your responsibilities are to perform preventative maintenance, diagnose issues, and make repairs to systems in a variety of vehicles. You also learn how to use diagnostic tools and help test different components and systems.
