What You'll Do

As a Manager - BCG Vantage in our Consumer and People & Organization Practice Areas, you will join a growing global team that combines deep People & Organization expertise with digital innovation to help clients solve their most complex workforce and organizational challenges. You will partner closely with case and proposal teams to deliver expert advisory, knowledge assets, and data-driven insights across organization design, operating model transformation, workforce strategy, and AI-enabled business transformation.

As a trusted thought partner, you will help clients rethink how work gets done by combining expertise in organization design, change management, workforce transformation, and digital product innovation. You will play a key role in advancing BCG's intellectual capital by developing leading-edge perspectives on Generative AI, digital products, and the future of work while supporting commercialization and go-to-market efforts across the Consumer and People & Organization Practice Areas.

YOU'RE GOOD AT

  • Partner with case and proposal teams to provide expert advisory, analyses, and knowledge assets that inform client recommendations.
  • Serve as a thought partner to case teams and topic leaders, helping structure complex organizational, workforce, and transformation challenges into practical, client-ready solutions.
  • Apply expertise across organization design, operating models, workforce transformation, change management, cost transformation, and future-of-work initiatives to support client engagements.
  • Support perspectives on Generative AI, AI-enabled workforce transformation, and digital product management, helping clients redesign work, improve productivity, and unlock sustainable business value.
  • Develop intellectual property, methodologies, benchmarks, and knowledge assets that strengthen BCG's capabilities in People & Organization, Consumer, and AI-enabled transformation.
  • Support commercialization efforts by contributing to proposals, client offerings, thought leadership, and go-to-market initiatives across Consumer and People & Organization topics.
  • Collaborate with global experts across BCG to identify emerging trends, share expertise, and advance innovative approaches that combine human capital strategy with AI and digital capabilities.
  • Codifying knowledge and maintaining assets, benchmarks, digital tools and AI assets for the People & Organization topics in CPG and Retail sectors, tailored to varying client contexts
  • Mentor junior colleagues through coaching, apprenticeship, and knowledge sharing where applicable, contributing to team capability and professional development.

What You'll Bring

  • 3+ years of consulting experience in relevant Organization Design & Operating Model role required; candidates with consulting experience preferred
  • In lieu of consulting experience, 4+ years minimum CPG and or Retail industry experience, with a strong focus on organization design and operating model strategy required; 6-10+ years of CPG/Retail industry experience strongly preferred
  • Proven track record in addressing complex operational challenges and driving measurable performance improvements, particularly in areas such as cost reduction, digital and GenAI capability building, and the enablement of skill-based architectures within functional domains
  • Deep expertise in organization design, operating model transformation, and workforce strategy within the Consumer Products (CPG) industry.
  • Demonstrated experience applying Generative AI, digital product management, or AI-enabled solutions to improve organizational effectiveness, workforce productivity, or employee experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • Fluency in English required; additional language skills are a plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including a hypothesis-driven approach and advanced analytical capabilities
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with both internal and external stakeholders in a collaborative global team environment

The candidate is expected to have knowledge in Organization Design & Operating Model AND at least one or more of the following topics:

  1. Required: Organization Design & Operating Model: Designing organizations fit for the future (AI/digital, competitive, cost effective), enterprise agility, optimized support functions)
  2. Talent & Skills (upskilling, retention, talent strategy to build a future-oriented workforce, executive coaching, tech/digital talent....)
  3. Behavioral Science, Managing change in a transformation, Culture and Purpose
  4. Functional Operating Models (Org structures within commercial functions like category management, next-gen sales, marketing etc.)

Total compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, retirement contribution, and a market leading benefits package described below.


The base salary range for this role in Chicago is $126,400.00 - $132,000.00.

This is an estimated range, however, specific base salaries within the range depend on various factors such as experience and skill set. It is not common for new BCG employees to be hired at the high-end of the salary range. BCG regularly reviews its ranges to ensure market competitiveness.


In addition to your base salary, your total compensation will include a bonus of up to 20% and a generous retirement contribution that starts at 5% and moves to 10% after 2 years.
