Apprentice Suwannee County Jobs (NOW HIRING)

We are seeking a part-time A&P Mechanic for aircraft maintenance at Suwannee County Airport (24J) in Live Oak, FL, with potential for full-time employment. The role involves maintaining single-engine piston, multi-engine piston, and turboprop aircraft. You will be responsible for routine inspections, repairs, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance to ensure safety and compliance with aviation standards. The position requires teamwork, as you will work alongside an apprentice, and occasional travel to other airports may be necessary. Candidates must provide their own tools and maintain paper-based maintenance records accurately.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance on various aircraft types
• Troubleshoot mechanical and avionics issues efficiently
• Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and aviation safety standards
• Maintain detailed, accurate paper-based maintenance records
• Collaborate closely with a small team and apprentices to complete maintenance tasks
• Occasionally travel to different airports or bases as required
• Use and maintain personal set of aircraft maintenance tools

Required Qualifications

• FAA Approved A&P Certification

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in aircraft maintenance
• Knowledge of aircraft systems including single-engine, multi-engine piston, and turboprop
• Strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with FAA regulations
• Experience with preventive maintenance and technical documentation
• Commitment to safety compliance, effective communication, and teamwork
