Overview:

B&B Cool Air is seeking a skilled and motivated HVAC Lead Installer - Residential & Commercial to join our team. This role is responsible for leading and performing the installation of residential and light commercial HVAC systems, ensuring high-quality workmanship, safety, and customer satisfaction. The Lead Installer will guide and mentor apprentices/helpers while maintaining efficiency and professionalism on every job site.

Pay: $27.00 - $33.00 per hour



What You'll Do:

  • Lead the installation of HVAC systems (residential and commercial), including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductwork, thermostats, and ventilation systems.
  • Oversee and train installation apprentices/helpers to ensure quality, efficiency, and safety standards are met.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications for accurate installation.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and company installation standards.
  • Perform start-up, testing, and troubleshooting of newly installed equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including job reports, material usage, and labor hours.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing client questions and concerns on-site.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good working condition.
  • Collaborate with dispatch, project managers, and warehouse team to ensure timely and complete job execution.
  • Promote and maintain a safe work environment at all times.

What You'll Bring:

  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of HVAC installation experience, with at least 1-2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
  • Education/Training: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of HVAC trade school or apprenticeship program preferred.
  • Licenses/Certifications:
  • EPA Section 608 Certification (Required)
  • NATE Certification (Preferred)
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
  • Strong knowledge of residential and light commercial HVAC systems, controls, and ductwork.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Physically able to lift 50+ lbs., work in confined spaces, and tolerate outdoor/weather conditions.
