Job description

Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate CNC milling machines, including Haas and Mazak equipment, to produce precision-machined components.
  • Utilize CAD/CAM software (currently GibbsCAM) to create, modify, and optimize CNC machining programs. Training on GibbsCAM will be provided for candidates with experience using other CAD/CAM software.
  • Edit and adjust CNC programs directly at the machine control to improve machining efficiency and ensure dimensional accuracy.
  • Read, interpret, and work from engineering drawings, blueprints, work instructions, and technical specifications.
  • Verify part dimensions and tolerances using precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other inspection equipment.
  • Perform machine setups, tooling changes, offsets, and first-article inspections to ensure compliance with design requirements.
  • Monitor machining operations and make adjustments as necessary to maintain quality and productivity.
  • Identify and troubleshoot machining or equipment issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
  • Follow all company quality standards, safety policies, and standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Work collaboratively with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to resolve manufacturing issues and improve processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Must have proficient Desktop Computer skills.
  • Experience operating CNC milling machines.
  • Proven ability to independently set up CNC mills from blueprints.
  • Experience editing and adjusting CNC programs at the machine control.
  • Proficiency reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications.
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, and gauges.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
