Job description

Company: Security Works (Partnering with Premier Fence).
About Us:
At Security Works, we specialize in building secure, reliable, and innovative access control and perimeter security solutions for both commercial and residential clients. Our team takes pride in doing the job right, every time, and we’re looking for motivated individuals ready to grow into leadership roles in the trades.
The Role:
We are looking for a Gate Automation Apprentice—someone eager to learn, hands-on, and ready to start a career in the security automation trade. This is not a typical helper role. You’ll work closely with a foreman, assisting with the installation of gate operators, access control systems, and other perimeter security devices, while learning the skills needed to eventually run your own projects.
What You’ll Do:
  • Assist a foreman with installation and service of gate operators and access control systems.
  • Learn to read plans and understand project layouts.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and basic electrical/mechanical skills to support installations.
  • Troubleshoot and assist in resolving installation challenges.
  • Maintain a professional and safety-conscious work environment.

What We’re Looking For:
  • Highly motivated, curious, and eager to build a career in the trades.
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools.
  • Clean, professional appearance.
  • Able to pass a drug screen and background check.
  • Good driving record and a valid driver’s license.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn from experienced team members.

Keys to Success:
This role is ideal for someone looking to grow into a foreman-level position over time. Curiosity, attention to detail, and a desire to understand the full scope of gate automation and access control installations will set you apart.
 Compensation & Benefits:
  • Competitive pay based on experience.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401(k) with company match.
  • Paid time off & holidays.
  • Opportunities for training, career growth, and advancement.

Why Security Works:
We’re building something different. Security Works is focused on creating a company where employees enjoy coming to work, customers trust our service, and our team takes pride in what they do every day. We’re a team that values safety, craftsmanship, and integrity. If you’re ready to learn a skilled trade and grow into a leadership role, Security Works is the place to start your career.
How to Apply:
Send your resume or a short note about your experience and why you’re interested in this apprenticeship to jobs@premier-fence.com or apply online.
