ER Contracting is a premier residential and commercial construction company. We

We are seeking a dependable, motivated, and experienced Electrician to join our
growing team. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, detail-oriented, and capable of
performing electrical installations, repairs, troubleshooting, and service work while
maintaining the highest level of customer service.

Position Summary:

The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting
electrical systems in residential and commercial properties. This position requires
knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), local Houston and Texas electrical
codes, and industry best practices.
The successful candidate will work independently and alongside project managers,
designers, and other trades to complete projects safely, efficiently, and to the highest
quality standards.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair residential and light commercial electrical systems.
  •  Install new electrical circuits, panels, breakers, disconnects, switches, receptacles, lighting, ceiling fans, and dedicated circuits.
  •  Perform electrical service upgrades, panel replacements, and circuit modifications.
  •  Install wiring for remodeling projects, room additions, kitchens, bathrooms, and new construction.
  •  Diagnose electrical issues and provide effective repair solutions.
  •  Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, construction drawings, and specifications.
  •  Perform load calculations and ensure installations comply with applicable electrical codes.
  •  Coordinate electrical work with project managers and other construction trades.
  •  Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC), Texas regulations, and local municipal requirements.
  • Complete electrical inspections and testing prior to project completion.
  •  Maintain accurate documentation of completed work, materials used, and daily
  • activities.
  •  Keep company vehicles, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and properly
  • maintained.
  •  Communicate professionally with homeowners, inspectors, vendors, and team
  • members.
  •  Follow all OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies.

Qualifications:

  • Current Texas Journeyman Electrician License
  • Minimum of 3 years of residential or commercial electrical experience.
  • Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Experience with electrical troubleshooting and diagnostics.
  • Experience installing electrical panels, disconnects, generators, lighting systems, and branch circuits.
  • Ability to read construction plans and electrical drawings.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining productivity and quality.
  • Valid Texas driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with residential remodeling projects.
  • Experience with standby generator installations.
  • Experience with whole-home surge protection systems.
  • Familiarity with smart home technology and lighting control systems.
  • Ability to supervise apprentices or helpers when required.

Physical Requirements:
