Truck Driver and Door Installer Apprentice – Support Commercial Loading Dock Infrastructure and Material Logistics


Job Overview

  • Project Scope: Commercial Doors & Loading Docks.
  • Mandatory Licences & Certifications: Valid NY Driver’s License (Held for minimum 3 years), OSHA 30 Certification, and NYC SST Card.


The Opportunity

You will step into a foundational field operations role, blending commercial material transport logistics with structured technical field installation training. This position provides the unique pathway to learn a high-demand mechanical trade under the direct mentorship of senior industry technicians. You will directly impact jobsite readiness and project delivery across the NY Metro Area while securing elite prevailing wage earnings.


How You Will Make An Impact

  • Operate a 20-foot commercial flatbed truck safely to transport heavy industrial doors and structural materials.
  • Assist experienced mechanical technicians with the technical assembly and repair of overhead rolling steel systems.
  • Manage heavy field material handling processes by safely loading and unloading mechanical assemblies.
  • Participate actively in hands-on field training encompassing structural mechanical, basic electrical, and welding tasks.
  • Execute critical site preparation layouts and meticulous post-installation cleanup protocols daily.
  • Maintain complete compliance with regional construction safety mandates and corporate risk-reduction guidelines.
  • Represent the organization with absolute professionalism while operating on high-security commercial and federal sites.


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of valid NY driving experience backed by a verified clean personal driving record.
  • Proven experience maneuvering, loading, and driving a 20-foot commercial flatbed truck or equivalent vehicle.
  • Active, non-expired OSHA 30 Certification alongside a valid New York City Site Safety Training (SST) card.
  • Physical capacity to execute demanding technical labor and lift mechanical components weighing up to 75 lbs.
  • Strong listening skills necessary to execute immediate technical commands and adapt to changing jobsite conditions.
