Job description

Start your career in a high-demand trade as an Apprentice Cell Tower Technician, where you’ll gain hands-on training installing and maintaining critical wireless infrastructure. Working alongside experienced professionals, you’ll learn how to safely climb, troubleshoot, and support networks that keep communities connected. What You Will Do:

  • Basic understanding of project documents and JHA paperwork
  • Ability to read and understand rigging plans
  • Basic understanding of RF and Steel installation/ modification
  • Perform various rigging tasks as directed
  • Ability to perform compliant climbing techniques
  • Ability to perform truck and trailer maneuvers

What You Will Need:

  • High School Diploma
  • Observe all company procedures and safety rules
  • 6 months- 1 years' experience in cellular construction and/or training
  • Excellent physical conditioning and stamina
  • Effective communication skills
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions; including but not limited to snow, rain and varying temperatures
  • Work as part of our team to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Be willing to travel; hotels and per diem provided
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the company insurance policy
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Sweep & PIM testing & fiber testing experience preferred
  • Competent Tower Climber and Rescuer Certification preferred
  • First Aid & CPR preferred, not required

    Work Environment

    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, use hands to finger/handle/feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, talk or hear.
    • Occasionally the work requires the employee to walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Frequently the employee is required to lift or carry up to 10 or 25 lbs., and occasionally up to 50 or 100 lbs.
    • Able to climb to and work at heights exceeding 300’ feet.
    • The employee needs to have good vision for close work, distance, color discrimination, peripheral, and depth perception.
