Position Specific Description

Help shape the future of clean energy by leading the technical foundation for risk-informed nuclear operations. This role plays a key part in the Duane Arnold restart, supporting PRA reconstitution, 10 CFR 50.69 implementation, and Risk-Informed Technical Specifications (RICT) to enable safe, efficient, and reliable plant operation. This is a full-time, onsite role based at our Jupiter, FL office, supporting the Duane Arnold Energy Center restart. You'll work closely with a highly collaborative fleet PRA and licensing team and play a visible leadership role mentoring engineers and influencing fleet-wide risk-informed applications.

  • Lead modernization of the PRA model to align with current industry and fleet standards, including internal events, flooding, and fire (all-hazards approach)
  • Develop licensing-quality PRA inputs supporting 10 CFR 50.69 LAR and Risk-Informed Technical Specification (RICT) initiatives
  • Support NRC audits and Requests for Additional Information (RAIs), ensuring technical rigor and regulatory alignment
  • Translate complex risk insights into actionable recommendations for plant decisions and long-term strategy

    Ideal Qualifications:

    • Extensive experience in PRA modeling and risk-informed applications within nuclear power
    • Proven track record delivering licensing-grade technical products (e.g., LARs, PRA model updates, regulatory submittals)
    • Hands-on experience with 10 CFR 50.69, RICT, or similar risk-informed regulatory initiatives
    • Experience supporting NRC audits, inspections, or RAI responses strongly preferredDemonstrated leadership experience (technical lead, mentoring, or program ownership)
    • Experience with BWR systems and PRA models preferred
Job Overview

This job is responsible for developing technical recommendations to support complex nuclear projects and operations. Employees in this role perform advanced engineering activity and analysis that lead to the development of innovative concepts. Individuals participate in the development of new solutions involves the study of engineering principles, selection of areas for investigation, working through opportunities within scope, and communicating research findings. The successful candidate is responsible for interpreting, organizing, executing and coordinating assignments.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Works independently to perform engineering tasks with little or no precedence
  • Provides technical consultation to management
  • Applies nuclear industry standards and regulations to solve new problems and address situations
  • Manages project teams toward solutions using leadership prowess, problem solving, and conflict resolution techniques
  • Represents supervisor interests and serves in a backup capacity when necessary
  • Serves as technical liaison within and outside business unit
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

  • Bachelor's - Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
