Job Summary: This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits. The Journeyman Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in industrial, commercial, and residential settings. They will work independently or as part of a team to ensure that all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards.

The Journeyman Electrician will report to the Electrical Foreman and work closely with the production team to ensure optimal performance of industrial machinery and equipment.

In this role you will work in our South Wasatch Front Area: Santaquin, Payson, Orem, Draper, Saratoga Springs, Heber, Park City, and Murray.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Install and repair electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, and electrical panels

  • Perform regular maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance

  • Inspect components, including wiring and electrical products to ensure they’re safe and within the required code

  • Log time and resources in E360

  • Commute between work locations along the Wasatch Front

  • Monitor inventory to ensure adequate stock

  • Maintain tools and equipment ensuring they are in good working condition

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems and provide solutions

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints

  • Keep up-to-date with industry codes and standards and ensure compliance in all work

  • Collaborate with other trades professionals, such as HVAC technicians or plumbers, as needed

  • Communicate with customers to understand their electrical needs and provide recommendations

  • Train and mentor apprentices or less experienced electricians, as needed

  • Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow all safety protocols and procedures

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an apprenticeship program and Journeyman Electrician certification

  • 3+ years of experience in industrial, commercial and/or residential electrical installation and repair

  • Valid Utah State Journeyman Electrician License

  • Familiarity of PLC controls and Relay Logic preferred

  • Knowledge of electrical systems and codes and the ability to interpret schematics and blueprints

  • Familiarity with a variety of electrical tools and equipment

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.)

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team

  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces, if required

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
