Job description

Salary: $15-$18 per hour

The Apprentice Technician is under the supervision of the Area Manager of each job site and will report to lead
foreman or manager depending on which division the apprentice is assigned. Apprentices help the victims of disasters such as fire, flood, mold, or other events by performing the duties below in the Contents, Mitigation, and Repair Division to help restore people's homes or businesses.


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:


CONTENTS:
Packing, loading, & transport
Disassembly and reassembly
Mitigation services (Packouts)
Dry and wet cleaning
Inventorying and chain of custody
Deodorization (ozone, foggers, etc.)
Ambient air filtration
Removing and disposing of debris
Fire and Water Contents Cleaning
Cleaning and Organizing Warehouse
Tile Cleaning and Resealing
MITIGATION:
Controlled demolition
Baseboard & carpet cushion removal
Carpet seam cutting
Removing and disposing of debris
Carpet Protection
Water pumping and extraction
Mold remediation
Specialty drying (hardwood, plaster, etc.)
Vapor Barrier
Setting drying equipment
Constructing polyethylene enclosures
Containment construction and maintenance
Dry-Tracking
Moisture Mapping
Taking Moisture Readings
REPAIRS:
Drywall Installation
Painting
Cabinet Installation

CUSTOMER SERVICE:
Independently, professionally, & quickly respond to incoming calls per script protocol for Elite & PBC
Input information into DASH as needed for Elite Restoration Jobs
Accurate messaging/ transferring of incoming calls to appropriate party (Name, Reason for calling, Contact info, ETC.)
Provide administrative support to managers/estimators/technicians
Job Close-Out documents
Certificate of Completion Waivers: These are to be signed and uploaded in DASH


ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Communicate professionally with customers, subcontractors, and insurance companies to ensure issues are dealt with quickly and effectively
Vehicle safety and maintenance inspections
Maintaining vehicles in clean, serviceable condition
Residential, Commercial, and Multi-Family Reconstruction Projects
Maintaining equipment
Other duties as assigned


Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment isusually moderate. May be required to operate in close quarters, crawl spaces, small rooms, and narrow aisles and passageways.


Physical Requirements:
Move and transport up to 50 lbs.
Ability to understand verbal and written instructions
Climb, crawl, stand, stoop, kneel, move/traverse, bend and reach with hands and arms for extended periods of time
Operate hand and electric tools

Valid Driver License
