Job Summary
TDIndustries partners with the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) to offer a comprehensive Piping Apprentice Program designed to launch long-term careers in the commercial and industrial construction trades. Apprentices will receive hands-on field training while also attending ABC's accredited piping curriculum over a structured four-year program.
This state-recognized apprenticeship combines real-world jobsite experience with classroom learning focused on pipefitting fundamentals, safety, blueprint reading, system installation, and industry best practices. Upon completion, apprentices progress toward becoming fully qualified pipefitters with strong career opportunities within TDIndustries.
Essential Duties
As a Piping Apprentice, you will:
  • Assist with the installation, layout, and fabrication of piping systems
  • Learn to interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and piping schematics
  • Measure, cut, thread, groove, and assemble pipes and fittings
  • Support installation of mechanical equipment, valves, supports, and hangers
  • Practice safe use of hand tools, power tools, and specialty pipefitting equipment
  • Work alongside experienced journeyman pipefitters and field supervisors
  • Attend weekly ABC classes (typically in the evenings) as part of the training curriculum
  • Progress through skill evaluations and training milestones each year
  • Follow all TDIndustries safety protocols and quality standards
