ASME Planner โ€“ Electrical (Nuclear Planning)

Location:Baxley, GA
Contract- 4 months

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced ASME Planner to support electrical planning activities within a nuclear facility. This role involves conducting walkdowns, preparing detailed technical planning documentation, and ensuring compliance with ASME standards and nuclear safety and quality requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong nuclear planning experience and the ability to coordinate office-based planning tasks with field walkdown activities.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct plant walkdowns to support electrical planning activities.

  • Develop and maintain detailed nuclear planning documentation in compliance with ASME standards.

  • Coordinate planning activities with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams.

  • Ensure all planning work adheres to nuclear safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

  • Prepare, review, and update planning documentation to support nuclear project execution.

  • Support work package development, scheduling, and resource planning for electrical systems.

  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to resolve planning or documentation issues.


Qualifications
  • Education:

    • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Engineering, Technical, or related discipline preferred (not required).

  • Experience:

    • 5+ years of experience in ASME standards planning, preferably in a nuclear environment.

    • Prior experience in nuclear electrical planning strongly preferred.

    • Familiarity with nuclear safety regulations, procedures, and quality standards.

  • Skills & Expertise:

    • Strong understanding of ASME standards in a nuclear setting.

    • Ability to conduct detailed plant walkdowns and translate findings into actionable plans.

    • Proficiency with planning software and technical documentation tools.

    • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.

    • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working across multi-disciplinary teams.
