The Opportunity
As an Electrical Foreman, you'll take responsibility for leading commercial electrical crews on site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.
Working closely with Project Managers, Project Engineers, General Contractors, Inspectors, and other trades, you'll coordinate day-to-day site activities while maintaining productivity, safety, and workmanship across every phase of construction.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who enjoys mentoring teams while remaining actively involved in project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, supervise, and mentor electricians and apprentices on commercial construction projects.
  • Plan daily work activities and allocate tasks to maximize productivity.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
  • Prepare site layouts for conduit, wiring systems, switchgear, panel locations, and equipment installations.
  • Coordinate daily activities with Project Managers, Project Engineers, General Contractors, and other trades.
  • Monitor project schedules to ensure work is completed safely and on time.
  • Ensure all installations comply with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local regulations, and company quality standards.
  • Track labor productivity, material usage, equipment, and job progress.
  • Complete daily reports, timecards, and material requisitions.
  • Conduct toolbox talks and enforce all site safety policies and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot installation challenges and provide technical guidance to field crews.
  • Install and oversee commercial electrical systems including conduit, wiring, panels, switchgear, and associated equipment.
  • Operate and supervise the safe use of hydraulic benders, cable pullers, threaders, lifts, and other specialized equipment.
  • Secure equipment and maintain clean, organized worksites throughout each project.
About You
You're an experienced commercial electrician with proven leadership ability and a passion for delivering quality work safely and efficiently.
You'll ideally bring:
  • Minimum 3 years' commercial electrical construction experience.
  • Previous experience as a Foreman, Lead Electrician, Superintendent or similar supervisory role.
  • Journeyman Electrician license preferred (Master Electrician highly regarded).
  • Strong understanding of commercial electrical systems and installation methods.
  • Thorough knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and industry safety standards.
  • Experience coordinating crews, scheduling work, and managing productivity.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and electrical plans.
  • Experience with material ordering, scheduling, and project coordination.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
Highly Regarded
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification.
  • Experience on healthcare, education, industrial, multi-family, mission critical, or data center projects.
  • Experience with project documentation, scheduling, and productivity reporting.
  • Experience working with lifts, cable pulling equipment, hydraulic benders, and large commercial installations.

Physical Requirements

This is a site-based position supporting projects throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, Greater Bay Area, Central Valley, and Sacramento Region.
