Apprentice Medical Biotechnology Jobs in Florida

You arrive on our New Port Richey, FL campus, review the day’s travelers and scorecards, and head to your CNC cell. You’ll select the right tools and fixtures, load the job, verify the CNC program, and run the first piece. With gauges and automated CMMs, you check critical features, adjust offsets, and deburr in-cycle to hold spec. Throughout the shift, you keep production on pace, document hazard recognitions and Red Tags as needed, and finish by coaching a teammate through a new setup.

• Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes, selecting tooling, workholding, and methods to machine components for aerospace applications.
• Interpret CNC programs to correct minor oversights, compensate for tool wear, and update offsets to maintain quality; perform in-cycle deburring.
• Conduct first-article and in-process inspections using precision measuring tools, gauges, and automated CMMs; read and work from blueprints for castings, forgings, and detailed sketches.
• Meet or exceed established production rates while conforming to all drawing and quality requirements.
• Run secondary operations as needed (drill press, stamping press, deburring, and similar processes).
• Complete all required documentation, including routers, data entries, scorecards, and hazard recognitions/Red Tags.
• Identify opportunities to enhance machining methods for better throughput and quality; assist in training peers.

• Onsite at the Pall Aerospace Machine Shop in New Port Richey, FL.
• 1st shift, Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM; overtime is frequent.

• High school diploma, GED, or trade apprenticeship plus at least 4 years of CNC setup experience.
• Blueprint literacy (or willingness to complete onsite blueprint training).
• Ability to work overtime as business needs require.

• Experience with 3-axis (or higher) machining.
• Background in aerospace CNC manufacturing.
• Familiarity with quality systems, AQL levels, and inspection methods.

• Frequent bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
• Frequent lifts up to 20 lbs. from floor to bench; occasional lifts up to 35 lbs.
• Strong hand–eye coordination and manual dexterity.
