Job description

In support of Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM), the FSR II shall diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and perform routine preventive maintenance and logistical management activities on all designated USMC systems and components. In addition, the FSR will assist with onsite installation of systems and training Marines assigned to Marine Expeditionary Units (MEUs), Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) units, and other Marine Corps units / activities.
Location: Charleston, SC
Responsibilities:
  • Offer technical support to USMC systems end users.
  • Support repairs and maintenance on current and future USMC systems.
  • Inspect, issue, recover, repair and account for individual components of USMC systems in accordance with client references.
  • Assist with the repair, maintenance, and installation of all USMC system variants.
  • With the aid of technical manuals, install designated equipment onto various USMC vehicle platforms.
  • Utilize CMPro (inventory management system) for recording all logistics and work order activities.
  • Train Marine units /users on maintenance and operation of systems.
  • Travel required ~20% (to include OCONUS)

Requirements
  • Must have an active DoD Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree + 2 years experience - OR - prior military with relevant experience.
  • Sound understanding of electronics and basic EW principles.
  • Proficiency in system diagnostic analysis to determine and replace defective system components.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) for operational feedback and reporting.
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe.
  • Experience utilizing CMPro (preferred but not required).
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a U.S. passport.
  • Detail oriented, organized, and ability to multi-task.

Physical Requirements:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
  • Light to moderate lifting may be required.
  • Regular, predictable attendance is required; including quarter-driven hours as business demands dictate.
