Job description

Responsible for setting up and operating multi-axis CNC machines and programs to make specified high quality manufactured parts according to customer specifications.

EDUCATION

  • High School diploma or GED

EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years in a machine shop with 2+ Years programming tool paths.
  • Advanced proficiency in G and M code.
  • Advanced proficiency with inspection tools.
  • Previous experience working with large Okuma and Megabore machines.
  • Ability to work in Vernal, UT on a daily basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
  • Program tool paths using CAD/CAM software.
  • Operate CNC Machines as directed.
  • Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust machine controls as required.
  • Inspect, measure, and gauge completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Debur and clean finished product/tools.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Programming experience, any language.
  • Fixture design.
  • Advanced proficiency with computers.
  • Highly organized.
  • Very detail oriented.
  • Self-motivated, responsible, and disciplined.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends when necessary.
