Job Title: CNC Machinist

Job Description

This role focuses on operating and setting up 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC mills to produce precision components for specialized manufacturing projects. You will work from detailed blueprints and mechanical assemblies, perform accurate inspections, and complete a variety of finishing and preparation tasks to ensure high-quality parts.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and set up 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC mills to produce precision parts according to specifications.
  • Perform complete machine setups, including changing tools, setting offsets, and making necessary adjustments to maintain part quality and efficiency.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and mechanical assemblies to determine machining requirements and sequence of operations.
  • Inspect machined parts against prints and process requirements using a variety of inspection equipment to verify dimensions and quality.
  • Carry out deburring, grinding, tapping, finish hand work, cutting stock, and other preparation and finishing tasks as part of the machining process.
  • Maintain organized work areas, properly handle materials, and follow established manufacturing procedures and standards.
  • Use proficient math skills to calculate dimensions, tolerances, and adjustments for machining operations.
  • Demonstrate reliability and self-motivation by consistently meeting production expectations and maintaining regular, dependable attendance.
  • Coordinate transportation to ensure punctual arrival and adherence to scheduled work hours.
  • Collaborate with team members and support continuous improvement of machining processes and workflow.
