Job description

Summary Statement:
The Revenue Strategy Analyst applies statistical, analytical, and business research methods to identify opportunities, evaluate performance, and support commercial decision-making across Resorts World Las Vegas. Develops analytical frameworks, conducts experimentation, builds predictive and explanatory models, and translates complex findings into actionable recommendations. Partners with cross-functional teams, including Pricing, Sales, Marketing, Operations, IT, and Finance, to deliver insights that drive revenue growth and operational performance across business verticals such as Hotel, Food & Beverage, Pool, Spa, and Gaming. Proactively identifies opportunities for improvement, tests hypotheses, and implements data-driven solutions while staying current on advancements in Revenue Management, Analytics, and Data Science.
The Revenue Strategy Analyst is encouraged to think of Resorts World Las Vegas as both field and lab. That is, the Analyst acts as a researcher, i.e. walking the property, finding opportunities to improve property performance, developing hypotheses, testing hypotheses, recommending actions, and implementing actions as appropriate.

PrimaryJob Duties- Inclusive of and not limited to:

  • Understand business problems by observing performance, listening to stakeholders, and learning from subject-matter experts.
  • Develop predictive and explanatory models to identify drivers of business performance and forecast future outcomes.
  • Design, execute, monitor, and evaluate experiments and pilot programs intended to improve revenue, profitability, operational efficiency, guest experience, team-member experience, or strategic decision-making.
  • Assess data sources (internal and external) to integrate and centralize information.
  • Analyze and model structured data using appropriate tools and resources, e.g. machine learning methods, and quantitative and qualitative techniques.
  • Determine what is critical and what is extraneous to solving business problems.
  • Understand the data requirements for investigating issues.
  • Evaluate data sets to determine their quality and sufficiency.
  • Manipulate data in service of applying various and appropriate statistical techniques.
  • Convert analyses into actionable recommendations for analytical and non-analytical business partners and executives.
  • Communicate effectively with audiences varying from line-level professionals to senior leadership, both verbally and in writing.
  • Use personal device/ cellular phone for job-related operational tasks, job tasks, review of company documents, et cetera.
  • Perform other job-related duties as requested.

Qualifications- Inclusive of and not limited to:

  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and a willingness to challenge assumptions through data, observation, and experimentation.
  • Experience in turning complex and/or incomplete data into actionable recommendations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point), and Power BI and/or Tableau.
  • Strong SQL skills, including the ability to query, transform, and combine large datasets.
  • Experience using Python, R, or similar tools for statistical analysis, experimentation, and predictive modeling.
  • Solid foundation in Statistics and Analytics, including hypothesis testing, experimentation, regression modeling, forecasting, causal inference, predictive modeling, statistical significance, confidence intervals, model validation, and interpretation of analytical results.
  • Demonstrated interest in pricing strategy, revenue optimization, or commercial decision-making processes.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects with varying priorities and deadlines across multiple teams.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, effectively and efficiently with audiences of varying analytical knowledge.
  • Ability to analyze financial statements, revenue reports, and market data.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department. rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Ability to work weekends if required.

Preferred:

  • Experience in applying analytical methods to business problems in Hospitality, Gaming, Airlines, Cruise, Retail, Finance, Technology, Consulting, or related industries.
  • Bachelor's degree with coursework in Economics, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer. Science, Finance, Hotel Administration, a related quantitative field, or an applicable field.
  • Understanding hotel metrics, casino play, theoretical value, expected value, and reinvestment.
  • Working knowledge of Opera, Delphi, and Hilton systems.

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • At least 21 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
