Job Title Foreman Location Virginia Beach, VA, US Organization Name Int SS-Int Work Schedule and Other Information Brief Description
Under broad guidance, the Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating the daily activities of teams involved in the maintenance, repair, and operation of wastewater pipeline and pumping systems, including pressurized pipelines, gravity mains, and pumping stations. This role also involves managing schedules, equipment, and materials, and ensuring that all maintenance and construction work is performed safely and efficiently.

Job Requirements
Education
Required
• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of HRSD's Interceptor Technician, Maintenance Operator, or Systems Operator Apprenticeship Program or equivalent education, training, and experience
Desired
• Additional technical training in management, leadership, or mechanical or utility maintenance.
Experience
Required
• Four years of maintenance experience related to interceptor systems, including experience in the operation and repair of large sewage interceptor systems or collection systems.
• Supervisory experience in managing teams or crews in a related field.
Desired
• Experience leading, coaching, and mentoring teams.
• Experience using computer systems for work scheduling and reporting.
• Experience with planning and coordinating large-scale repair or maintenance projects.
Licenses and Certifications Requirements
• Valid driver's license from state of residence.
• Class A Commercial Driver's License with H (Hazardous Materials) and N (Tank Vehicle) endorsements (to be obtained within 12 months of appointment).
