Position Description
The Mid-Level Technical Data & Platform Specialist will support the development, administration, and integration of enterprise data and workflow solutions. Leveraging their experience with PostgreSQL databases, the candidate should have a strong understanding of data management principles, and experience supporting application and platform environments. Experience with ServiceNow and RaptorDB is highly desirable.
This Technical Specialist will work closely with system architects, system administrators, and solution developers to design, implement, maintain, and optimize data-driven solutions supporting enterprise business operations.
Key Duties:
• Administer and maintain PostgreSQL databases and related data services.
• Develop SQL queries, views, stored procedures, and database reports.
• Monitor system performance and resolve database and application issues.
• Support data migrations, integrations, and ETL processes.
• Configure and support ServiceNow applications, workflows, and integrations.
• Assist with RaptorDB administration, data modeling, and query development.
• Develop APIs and data interfaces between enterprise systems.
• Create technical documentation and maintain operational procedures.
• Support software deployments, testing, and system upgrades.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions.
• Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance with organizational standards.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for enterprise users and applications.
• RaptorDB database administration with experience in the ServiceNow Platform data layer, shifting away from traditional relational DBA skills towards optimizing high-speed, multi-node, and AI-ready enterprise workflows
• HTAP (Hybrid Transactional and Analytical Processing): Proficiency in managing single-engine databases where live transactional updates and deep analytics run concurrently on the same data without pipeline delays.
• Advanced Indexing Management: Experience in working with RaptorDB's integrated column-store indexes and parallel processing frameworks, which require specialized knowledge to map and accelerate specific reporting workloads.
• Elastic Scalability & Resource Balancing: The ability to configure multi-node clusters and balance workloads, including prioritizing real-time enterprise queries against heavy background operations like generative AI.
• Customization vs. Platform Alignment: Apply smart customization, avoiding instance sprawl and unnecessary data partitioning while leveraging out-of-the-box system capabilities.
• Platform-Level Troubleshooting: Integrate ServiceNow's performance monitoring tools with RaptorDB's unique architecture to eliminate workflow bottlenecks.
Required Qualifications:
• PostgreSQL database administration and development.
• SQL query development and optimization.
• Database schema design and data modeling.
• Linux and/or Windows server environments.
• Git or other version control systems.
• Data troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Basic scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar).

Target Salary Ranges:
$90,700 - $150,600 WMA
$80,000 - $132,800 St. Louis, MO
$80,200 - $133,100 Huntsville, AL
