Full-time

Job description

About the Role
This role offers the opportunity to learn how to help customers succeed with our AI products while building the software behind them, working alongside experienced engineers and our client solutions team. You'll pair closely with mentors while gradually taking on more ownership in both technical implementation and partner-facing work.
This apprenticeship is for someone who wants to connect software development with customer impact. You'll work alongside customers, experienced engineers, and product managers to turn client feedback into useful product improvements and help shape the solutions being built.
Skills You'll Strengthen:
  • Customer Support & Engagement: Work directly with customers to understand their needs, answer their questions, and help them get value from the product, with guidance from experienced teammates.
  • Software Development: Build, test, and iterate on features within real production systems, contributing to codebases using modern frameworks and best practices.
  • Troubleshooting & Diagnosis: Investigate issues, find the root cause, and help implement fixes, learning how to weigh options with help from senior team members.
  • Communication: Clearly communicate to teammates and customers, adapting your messages to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaboration: Participate in stand-ups, pairing sessions, and project discussions, contributing ideas and learning how high-performing teams operate.
  • Problem Solving: Debug issues, investigate system behavior, and develop structured approaches to diagnosing problems in unfamiliar environments.
  • Ownership: Take responsibility for assigned work, follow through to completion, and proactively surface risks or uncertainties early.
  • Onboarding & Training: Help new customers get set up and comfortable with the product, and support them through updates and new features.

We are looking for candidates who:
  • Are interested in AI and how it can be applied to real products, workflows, and customer problems.
  • Have experimented with AI tools, APIs, or workflows, or are eager to learn how to build with them responsibly.
  • Are looking to grow as both a developer and as a contributor within various parts of the software development process, including discovery and collaborative design
  • Are energized by solving real-world problems.
  • Enjoy helping people, and stay patient and calm when a customer is stuck or frustrated.
  • Are comfortable communicating with colleagues and customers.
  • Are comfortable exploring new AI capabilities, asking good questions about limitations, and iterating as the technology evolves.
  • Are curious about both the "why" behind a problem and the "how" behind a solution.
  • Show strong follow-through.

Qualifications
  • Foundational experience with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • Exposure to at least one programming language or framework (e.g., Elixir, Node.js, React, Python, Ruby).
  • Understanding of how web applications work (client/server, APIs, databases).
  • Experience working on projects (school, bootcamp, personal, or professional) where you built or significantly contributed to a functional product.
  • Ability to read, navigate, and understand existing code, even if you didn't write it.
  • Excellent communication skills, including active listening, and the ability to translate technical detail into clear, practical language for different audiences.

Nice to Have
  • Familiarity with Git and collaborative software development workflows (pull requests, code reviews).
  • Exposure to AI tools, LLMs, or AI-assisted development workflows.
  • Interest in building AI into products, including prompt-based experiences, agents, retrieval workflows, or automation.
  • Experience evaluating or testing AI outputs for quality, reliability, and user impact.
  • Experience working with external stakeholders (clients, users, or cross-functional teams).
  • Experience in a customer support, help desk, or service role.
  • Interest in consulting, product thinking, or customer-facing engineering roles.

Location
This is a Louisiana-based remote role. Candidates must reside in Louisiana to be considered.
Compensation
The compensation for this 3-month apprenticeship will be $1,200 biweekly
Benefits & Perks
  • Paid apprenticeship program with hands-on project experience
  • Mentorship from experienced engineers and technical leaders
  • Opportunity to possibly transition into a full-time role upon successful completion
  • Company-provided MacBook Pro
  • Flexible work environment
  • Exposure to a wide range of technologies, industries, and real-world challenges

Company Culture
We live our Core Values every day. We communicate openly, often, and with empathy. We trust each other to perform the tasks we've been assigned and share challenges early. We apply pragmatic ingenuity to build things better, foster a harmonious work-life balance, continuously invest in improvement, and take the time to celebrate our victories.
