Morvillo Precision Products, a division of Alloy Holdings, LLC is currently recruiting for an Industrial Electrician / Maintenance Technician at our Providence, RI location.
The Industrial Electrician is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment in industrial settings as well as general maintenance on production equipment. This role involves troubleshooting electrical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards.
Essential Job Duties:
  • Installation: Install, assemble, and wire electrical components, machinery, and equipment according to electrical codes and specifications.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Diagnose and repair electrical malfunctions in industrial machinery and equipment, including motors, generators, control systems, and PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers). Diagnose and repair mechanical malfunctions in industrial machinery and equipment.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve electrical problems using testing equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and voltage testers.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems and mechanical equipment.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety regulations and standards, including lockout/tagout procedures, arc flash protection, and NFPA 70E guidelines.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment repairs, and electrical installations.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with other maintenance personnel, engineers, and production staff to optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime.
  • Training: Stay updated on new technologies, regulations, and best practices in the field of industrial electrical maintenance.
  • Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency situations, such as power outages or equipment failures, to minimize disruption to production operations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction in electrical systems and procedures.

  • Safety: Support a safety culture by following all safety rules including reporting all incidents and near misses.

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a certified electrician apprenticeship program preferred.
  • Journeyman or master electrician license/certification required.
  • Minimum of [5] years of experience as an industrial electrician in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
