Job description

Position Summary: The Electrical Foreman will participate and oversee the installation or maintenance and inspection of large electrical Projects, Systems and supervise team members including Sub-Contractors.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Regular attendance at assigned location that may include office or other project sites
  • Act as a team leader in the execution of electrical work
  • Oversee and audit site safely and quality control programs
  • Oversee and coordinate any Sub-Contractors work that may be working under the Electrical Division
  • Coordinate field trade activities in accordance with the project schedule and help with developing the three weeks look ahead coordination schedules with all appropriate Project Team Participants
  • Detect faulty operation of equipment or defective materials and notify supervisors
  • Ensure field installation compliance with all technical specifications, approved shop drawings & submittals
  • Coordinate equipment and specialty material deliveries and staging requirements
  • Supervise and participate in the installations of Power, Lighting, Fire Alarm, Security, Instrumentation and Controls, UPS, Generator and other related systems
  • Additional duties as directed by management

Essential Skills & Characteristics:

  • Ability to work independently and lead a team of trade employees and apprentices
  • Follow plans and instructions from supervisors or more experienced workers
  • Strict adherence to all co-workers and clients in an attentive courteous manner
  • At times may perform clerical/administrative duties
  • Participate in site housekeeping
  • Assist, and coordinate with scheduled shutdowns, support associated on-site operational requirements
  • Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, plans or specifications for work details or procedures
  • Good documentation and record keeping; attention to detail and quality

Educational & Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or relevant work experience
  • 10 years of Field Experience, Journeyman, Working Leader
  • Applicable State Trade License
  • OSHA 10 certification
  • Knowledge of Standard Operations Procedures (SOP's)
  • Competency in Permit Required Confined Space
  • Understanding and development of daily Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)
  • Knowledge of materials, methods and tools involved in industrial construction preferred
