Overview

Shermco Industries is seeking an Industrial Electrician.ย 

Responsibilities
  • Install, commission, and maintain power, instrumentation, process controls, and, SCADA equipment
  • Perform routine and emergency maintenance on power, instrumentation, and control systems.
  • Provide technical expertise and support for troubleshooting of power and control systems.
  • Coordinate repair, testing, and installation of power and control systems.
  • Mechanical and Electrical installations.
    • Rigid, EMT, PVC coated rigid conduit.
    • Service, feeders, and branch circuits.
    • Controls, fiber, and network cabling.
    • Stainless tubing and instrumentation.
    • Service equipment, MCC, panelboards
QualificationsMinimum Qualificationsย to qualify for consideration, you must meet one of the following minimum qualifications and requirements:
  • Master Electrician, Journeyman Electrician, or Apprentice Electrician is a plus but not a requirement.
  • Field experience in the industrial field with power and control systems.
  • Understanding of electrical schematics and controls.
  • Self motivated individual - able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Team oriented, flexible and willing to assist in other technical disciplines.
  • Hand and power tool capabilities.
  • Willingness to be hands-on and work in the field alongside our engineers and field technicians.
  • Must be able to clearly and effectively communicate in English via verbal and written methods and be comfortable and effective doing so directly to customers and co-workers.
Requirements:Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, stand for extended periods, drive regularly, with or without reasonable accommodationsShould be able to pass a fit for duty physical exam when requiredMust be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and periodic, unannounced random drug tests.Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check.Must have a valid driver's license, and currently have and be able to maintain a good driving record.If applying for position, must be eligible to work in the U.S. without need for employer sponsored visa (work permit).ย Mustย be willing to travel.
